It wouldn't be any kind of exaggeration to say that Hillman Curtis is one of the main reasons why I'm a multimedia designer, so when I finally got the chance to hear him speak I was always going to jump. The experience was much as I'd anticipated (and hoped) from my knowledge of his work - inspirational, intelligent, unassumingly funny - but what I wasn't expecting was for it to be so moving.

There was something really affecting about his humility, his description of the struggle to keep going after 911, his loss and rediscovery of his motivation. And the work... Movement Study in particular totally bypassed the seen-it-all jaded old fuck who usually stares out through these eyes and plugged straight into an amazed emotional place that I'd forgotten even existed. Truly, we were not worthy.

OMFG, I haven't seen Hoss talk since 2004 in San Francisco and I'm comforted to know that the so, totally brilliant memories of that time weren't tinted by time. His session was the most entertaining, funny and insightful one of the conference for me so far.

Please, please make sure he comes back bext year!!!

Inspirational!!

This one one of the best presentations I have ever attended, by the end of it my head was bursting with ideas. Combine some of the ideas here with apollo and the sky's the limit.
